Keeping Vermont Working: Dairy Farm Edition!

"Peakline will be our go to for all of our service, maintenance and equipment rental needs here on the farm"

December 2, 2025

A dairy farmer in Central Vermont recently left us this review:

"Peakline is a class act, being an organic dairy farmer I need my equipment to operate daily with little to no down time, on two separate occasions now Peakline has gotten me out of a tight spot and gotten my equipment back up and running in a timely manner so all the cows could get fed. The service tech that showed up was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable as he was quick to diagnose the issues and make the necessary repairs. Its comforting knowing there's a local business I can count on when I need them the most, Peakline will be our go to for all of our service, maintenance and equipment rental needs here on the farm, I cant thank them enough."

Reading this reminded me exactly why we started Peakline.

Our professional diesel mechanic has worked on everything – large frame excavators, snowcats, heavy equipment fleets and maritime diesel engines. When he moved to Vermont, we saw a gap: there wasn't reliable, fast, 24/7 field service run by people you could count on.

So we built it. A fully equipped service truck with diagnostic tools, fabrication equipment, and a 5-ton crane. We can repair machines right on site and keep downtime to a minimum.

That dairy farmer who wrote the review? His situation is exactly what we built Peakline for. Equipment breaks. Cows need to be fed. There's no waiting. We show up, diagnose the problem, make the repair and operations keep moving.

It's the same on construction sites. Concrete trucks are scheduled, crews are waiting, weather windows don't stay open. When equipment goes down, you need someone who can get there fast and fix it right.

We're based in Barre and work throughout Central Vermont – Burlington, Winooski, Essex, Williston, Richmond, Hinesburg, Bolton, Jericho, Underhill, Waterbury, Stowe, Montpelier, Berlin, Northfield, Williamstown… and more! Being local means we understand the conditions equipment faces here. Winter. Mud season. Rocky terrain. We know what breaks and why.

When that farmer says "it's comforting knowing there's a local business I can count on," that's what we set out to build. Reliable service from people who understand Vermont operations and can respond when it matters.

If your operation can't afford downtime – whether you're farming, building, or running heavy equipment – this is what Peakline does. We come to you, we fix it, you keep working.

FAQs

What equipment breaks down most often on working dairy farms in Vermont?

On Vermont dairy farms, some of the most urgent breakdowns involve skid steers, loaders, tractors, and material-handling equipment that are used every day for feeding, manure handling, access, and general farm work.

Why is fast equipment service so important on dairy farms?

Fast service matters because dairy farms run every day, in all weather, and even one disabled machine can affect feeding schedules, cleanup, movement around the property, and the daily rhythm of the entire operation.
